4th Grade Presentation at Hammock Pointe Elementary in Boca Raton, Florida
When: Friday, Nov. 21, 2025
Students will hear a presentation about what inspired me to write SCREECH His Hunt for a Home and then review specific writing strategies, such as incorporating elaboration with details, and the use of transitional words/phrases to keep the reader clear on the sequence of the story happenings. After the presentation, the students will each be involved in making a precious owl craft project.

Sat, Oct 11Palm CityGive a hoot and come see real live Florida owls (Great-Horned Owl, Barn Owl, Barred Owl, Eastern Screech Owl, and Burrowing Owl) and learn about their unique characteristics from the experts at the wildlife center who care for them.
